Firstly let me start by saying I would never question Shakespeare's literary genius...And maybe all the beautiful flowers in people's gardens here in Skive and conversations about possibilities/problems/challenges got me thinking about the quote from Juliette..."a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" ...and by thinking about the quote I mean challenge its point...
Ok now I will get to my point/my lesson for the day...!
A label/name you give something can change your belief about it...
I must be a bit slow...because this clue has popped up a few times and I have kind of dismissed it...ironically, just like lots of great ideas are dismissed because the focus is on the problem...! It's too hard, too big, too small, what if blah blah...well...what if no one took action...?
I have really noticed that people attitudes to change is different here. It is like they wear opportunity glasses... They see possibilities. Ive noticed that when they see a problem...they look for a solution...nothing seems too hard because they know the big picture, and if an obstacle pops up they look for ways to overcome it. I love this attitude...! It is optimism meets tangible results...!
Hanne, my host mum, put it so eloquently...I don't call it a 'problem' I call it 'a challenge to be overcome'...!!! So if you change the name - from problem to challenge to overcome...it smells sweeter!! Sorry Juliette!
