We're goin' to Graceland

Monday morning saw us being whisked away from Skive and taken to Randers where our first stop was Graceland Randers, a double size replica of Elvis Presley's home in Memphis.
"Graceland Randers is a new event house inspired by Elvis Presley's home "Graceland" in Memphis. The house is the ultimate tribute to the King of Rock-n-Roll.
Graceland Randers is the house of opportunities! The house essentially helps protect and safeguard the legacy of Elvis' life, his music and memory. Graceland Randers is Elvis Nostalgia, Elvis Museum and Elvis Shop. But Graceland Randers is so much more than that. Graceland Randers is also an American Diner, a Ballroom, aMini Movie Theatre, Concert venue, Wedding Facility, Souvenir Shop. It is an Event House where everything happens and anything can be arranged!"
Our next stop was The Randers Tropical Zoo which is an indoor zoo located in three big domes, with the biomes of Africa, Asia, and South America. The domes contain animals from the biomes, and most of the animal live free in the domes.
This was followed by a visit to Rotary headquarters in Randers, home for three local clubs and then a walk through the cobble-stoned streets of the town.
We finished our first day at our hosts homes with Neil and I being hosted by Torben and Birgit Bech. We have noticed many times during our stay, that Australians and Danes seem to have an amazing empathy for each other, appreciating similar things, whether it be the natural environment, families, or even red wine.  Torben  puts this down to our common ancestor - King Canute!  It may also be helped by their beloved Princess, Mary.
We have also found that many of our hosts have seen as much of Australia in their travels as many of the team.  Oh well, they are still young.
